Is this my oil plug?
Ok, so I'm sheltered and have never seen a car with the oil plug anywhere but on the bottom of the pan, so before I took it off, I thought I would ask.
Is this my oil plug? (lightened in photo)
Thanks!

Don't worry about looking like a dummy, that's what we're here for. JoeD is the only one who will make fun of you. We all had to learn at some point in time. It's better to ask then to screw something up.

Perfectly reasonable question if someone has never worked on a car. I never changed my oil until this past January. Now, I've replaced all coolant hoses(including ones to the turbos), changed the intake and IC, changed out the whole stock exhaust with dp, mp, and cb, installed guages, timer, etc. I even mounted a 8" red neon light under my hood. Some think it's cheesy, but at night, you can see just a hint of red in front of my radiator. Matches my red leather. I like it. I'll post a pic when I can.
Anyhow...ask any questions and ask away.
