my friend's FD doent start

the car cranks and i checked if it was the battery and tried to jump start it, but doesnt work. I did a compression test and it was in perfect condition of 7.5,7.4,7.9 in the front and 7.6, 7.5, 7.8 in the back you think that the car isnt getting any fuel delivery to the motor. he got all the bolt ons and a fuel pressure regulator. p.s the car wasnt turned on for quite a while. say like 11 months

rpms were low. rpms are suppost to be around 375 that would probably be around 8.7-8.9 compression. like i said when i was done the battery was low so it only cranked about 238 rpms.

Actually, the compression test is supposed to be at 250 rpm. The service manual has an adjustment for different rpms and altitudes. Just because it won't start, doesn't mean the engine is toast. For one thing, did you drain the gas tank and add fresh gas? If not, did your friend at least put some dry gas (stabilizer) in the tank before storing it? This could be contributing to the difficulty in starting.

I wouldnt think the gas would be bad already just after 11 months. I would think maybe he has flooded the car trying to start it. Get a new battery. And take out the plugs and leave them out for a few hours and then reinstall and try again. If the plugs are wet when you take them out its probably flooded.
