My feed back on rx7.com diff bushings

I recently installed a set of nylon diff bushings from rx7.com. I was told that i did not have to install zerk fittings, i just greased the pins. They did not come with directions, i just installed the bushings with the lip facing out on both sides. I used loctite on all the diff bolts, i didnt want them to come loose since it will have more vibration than stock. The car does drive better, the rear end feels more stable and solid. The shifter no longer wobbles back and forth, but it still does it a little. With the bushings, you can hear the starter engage. Over bumps the rear end is a little stiffer and noiser. You can feel a little more vibration over certain roads. But its not that bad. If i drive up my drive way at an angle fast the rear end creaks a little. I also have a set of trailing arms so that can be a factor for some of the noise and vibration. My stock bushings were pretty shot, they had 115k on them. Overall i'm very happy with the buhsings. The bushings fit very well. I wanted the mazdaspeed ones but i'm not part of their program.

I think Malloy or other dealers can get you the Mazdaspeed ones. If not Malloy then I'm sure corksport could

the diff bushings do not spin, no need to zerk them at all.

with new diff bushings all the other worn suspension parts make noise, but the bushings are solid and drastically improve handling. they do transmit a slight whine noise from the differential gears, but it is barely noticeable and some may even like it.

Ray at Malloy said that he could only order motorsport parts for current vechicles. The bushings are pretty easy to press in if you have a press and the right size sockets/adapters. When i did my bushings, i was also doing my clutch. I dropped my diff to change the axles seals and i resealed the diff casing. Of course i changed my fuel filter at the same time.

I'm right in the middle of removing my Diff. mount to install these bushings. I'm glad people like them. Now, if I can only get those damn bolts off that hold the mount to the frame. (I just soaked them with PB blaster)
