While your first group of mods are a pretty good base to start with, I would definately put the downpipe higher on your priority list. The stock pre-cat is a piece of shiet.

Also, you should already be running NGK 9's in leading and trailing. And a lot of people agree that the HKS hyper ground is a waste of money.

ACT clutches are VERY nice, but i like Exedy Sports clutch kits with twin and triple carbon plates...DP is one of the next things I do. PETTIT makes a very nice, easy fitting SS pipe that I am gonna go with (3").....

Yo what up big man Here are my comments:

- Ditch the Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller. Too complicated. Get a simple Greddy Profec B (old school one) or the new Profec Type S.

- Ditch the Apexi Turbo Timer. No need for a turbo timer. If you know how to coast into your neighborhood w/o boosting, those 30 sec. before getting to your crib are more than 'nuff to allow the turbos (which are water AND oil cooled) to cool down.

- Don't know much about the J & S Knock Sensor. Is it really necessary?

- Hit up Chuck re: the grounding system he found to be the most effective. I forget which one it was, but it wasn't the HKS unit.

- Greddy pulley's a good idea if you don't have a large sound system. Hit me up if you need one. I have one laying around (and I'm back at home)

- For the clutch, the best on the market by far for power AND drivability is the Exedy D-Core Twin Plate. As usual, hit me up and I'll get ya a sweet deal on one In fact, I'mma be rockin one myself soon

1. If you are going single turbo, the Pettit downpipe won't work. You either buy a single turbo kit or have a custom downpipe made.

2. The J&S knock sensor is a POS IMO....I can't recall actually seeing anyone benefit from it, while many have had problems (in past years). I didn't even know they were still selling that thing. Water injection would be 10x better.

3. I don't know why you would run a hi-flow cat with a single turbo....you won't be making 400+ rwhp with it, that's for sure.

4. I don't see a fuel system upgrade listed.

5. You don't need the FC thermoswitch if you are running the Power FC.

6. I don't see the FC-Datalogit on your list.

7. I don't see an intercooler on your list! This is very important and will determine what intake system you can run, whether you need the Efini y-pipe, whether you need the Greddy elbow, etc.

8. WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP BUYING TURBO TIMERS???

Rynberg, he mentioned a V-mount and fuel system in the last line of his first post. But I totally missed the hi-flow cat. Ditch that crap man. You NEED a midpipe.

Oh and just to clarify, you do need a FC thermoswitch if you don't have a datalogit. Or visa versa

Noise, smell... but if power is his main goal then you're right, he shouldn't be running a hi-flow catalytic converter.

Well I would think since he keeps asking for 450whp his main goal is power, thus midpipe.

Turbos...the options are endless. Steve Kan makes some wicked turbo kits (http://www.gothamracing.com/catalog/...43_107_116_197, in the middle, where it says GothamRacing Turbo kits etc). A-Spec's 500R is making a lot of noise. And you always have Ray @ PFS locally...

PM Scrub (my friend Dan). He's pushing Steve Kan's turbo kit, and I'm pretty sure he dynoed at around 450.

EDIT: Just found the thread: https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/gotham-racing-gr67-dyno-numbers-491328/. 421 WHP at 15.5lbs

I have an A-Spec GT35R Single kit. I have a high flow cat and a gotham midpipe. I will do a side by side comparison on a dyno when I get up there. We can see for sure how much power that cat saps from the system...

My wideband will even tell how much more rich/lean the car runs on the same tune with the cat and without. I think it will be interesting.

For 450whp...A-spec's 500r kit seems to be the ticket. I was just hoping for 400whp with the 35/40r with 1.06 hot side. We will see what happens on the dyno in a couple weeks.
