Question Is my differential going to die?

The problem is way more noticeable now than before, but when I press the accelerator the differential seems to bump causing the car to buck while in low rpm, like if there was some sort of gap in the drivetrain it also happens when i downshift and the rpms are coming down the car just starts bucking back and forward making a bumping noise. I have an ACT street disc, and massive wheel hop, ever since the installation of the clutch I have only taken the car off from a stand still about 4 times in about 2 years. The only time I peel out is when shifting to 2nd gear other than that I do not abuse the drivetrain. Any ideas of what can be causing this? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This can be a bunch of things. Looseness in your toe links, controll arms, or dif. bushings will all cause the bucking you're talking about. My car does that right now, and it's because my control arm bushings are gone.
Check all your suspension before you even look at the dif. I don't think that's where your problem lies.

Check the diff bushings for sure that is probably the problem. Does it make a loud bang also when shifting under high load?

Like We said it is the diff bushings. Either replace with stock ones or Jimlabs poly Ones. When I used to shift it sounded like a gun firing it would bang so loud. It will also make noise when You are driving. Try a search and there should be lots of info.

when i shift hard i do hear a bang but its not loud, I always thought it was my clutch sounding on the flywheel, next time I will pay more attention to it.

I also think its what "Jim Calandrella" said up there... cause I also press the brake and sometimes I hear a click noise coming from the rear of one side, it can be bushings maybe or toe links.

Anyways thanks for the help guys i will check it out today.

I get the same noise too when i shift up and under breaking, it's my lower control arm bushings.
