my 1/4 mile time

Pretty crappy but since i was running 7 psi in 1st and 2nd not too bad..... my lim is leaking bad. My peak boost was .53 bar with intake temps at 60C

my mods
Dp, MP, Apexi intake. Hard intake pipes, powerfc, light weight underdrive pullys.

this was at Spokane Raceway Park.

reaction time .688
60ft 2.388
1/8th mile Et 9.17
1/8th mile MPH 84.42
1/4 mile ET 13.729
1/4 mile MPH 107.7

I spun all the way through 1st. Could not see the 2 yellow lights so when it was green i just had to go that’s why my reaction time is so bad.

Well considering what do you guy’s thing? If everything was working right and I had colder intake temps do you guy's think i could pull a high 12 out of there?

Where is everyone measuring their intake temps. Only asking because as I measured the other day, with a cheap radio shack infra red temp guage, temps varied by over 100 degrees f from the Ic to the lim

A high 12 is a decent jump from mid/high 13's. Thats a great time for 7psi. You could definately get down in the lower 13's though. Nice times any way though

If your only getting 8 psi I doubt that you'll make it to the 12's. If your getting normal boost you should make it to the number you want.

with a trap of 107 you could easily get 12s. i ran a 13.0 @ 106 with a crappy 60ft time. when i get my car running right, im hoping to hit 12s @ 107 or around there on street tires

reaction time doesnt effect the 1/4 ET.....688 really isnt that bad. the clock doesnt start till you cross the line. get that 60ft down though (better launch) and you'll see big improvements in your time.

a estimation for every .1 off your 60ft = .175 off you 1/4 time...meaning if you launched well (2.088 60) your 1/4 would have been closer to...13.2 with a little boost thats pretty good. I'll be hitting the track on saturday for the 1st time in the fd..12's is my goal

*I think* you get that intake temp down into the 30s and you'll get a much better time.

Not bad, and yes the PFC will read you air intake temps .
What type of tires are you running ? Some et streets should trim .5 off your 1/4 .Also are you using your stock clutch ? Mine slipped the entire time down the track last year . A performance clutch will trim some time off also .

just incase you dont know, your reaction time is not a part of your E/T. the timer starts once you break the beam, so you could have a R/T of 30 seconds and still run a 12 second pass.

I pulled off a 13.000 with a trap of 108.41, so your car has the power to get you close to 12's. Maybe on the right day with enough traction and low enough intake temps you'll get there.

your car has enough power for 12's too... you just need some slicks

i went 12.2 at 110, not a 7 though

Yeah I'm well aware of that. My 60' for that run was 2.7xx . I'm very much a newb to dragging. It'll all get better in May when I hit the track again . Shooting for mid 12's then.

thanks for the input im going to run it again with the right amount of boost and alot colder intake temps.

im running some new street tires and i have my stock clutch it isn't slipping yet.....

i've ran against low low 13 sec cars on the street and i am able to beat them without too much trouble.

2.7 my grandma could do that on her rascal. hahah, j/k

i can do 1.9's on my 30k+ kuhmo supras (crappy tires) You just gotta hold the car at like 3k and when the light turns stomp it while slipping the clutch.

although my first time out I have to admit that held it at 6k and dropped the clutch, i let it bounce off the revlimiter until the wheels caught then i missed 3rd gear trying to semi-flat shift... Quickly learned my lesson
