yes, but you will also ned a dis 2 if you plan on running both the trailing and leading coils.... easiest way is to just run the leading with the 6.... rotorbrain is doing it with much luck he says

you mean a dis 2 in addition to a digital 6? Mainly what I need this for is to retard the timing for a notrous shot. Whats the best way to accomplish that?

a timing retard for a nitrous shot? how much of a shot are you doing.... and if you have engine management you can do this much easier... and yes, a dis 2 in addition to the 6.

rule of thumb is about 2 degrees of retard per 50hp shot

75 shot. I was going to use the digital 6 to do a single step retard.

I would like to get a PFC to do it, but thats too much right now, and I can get a digital 6 for pretty cheap.

yeah, altho i dont know how that will work for you.... with the added nitrous your going to be running higher boost... (just what nitrous does) and on the stock ecu i dont know how well thats gonna work (fuel cut) but i have never played with it on my car so i cant tell you for sure. As far as the msd goes I think you will have to get the dis2 also to change the timing because with only the 6 box you will only be changing the timing on the leading coils.

Again, this is to the best of MY knowledge, It may work... but ide be more afraid of higher boost than i would of retarding the timing 2 degrees... I have the wiring diagram of how you put the msd in our cars.. if you want i can email it to you when i get to work tomorrow.

The nitrous cools the intake charge, making the air denser = higher boost
