Thumbs up motor swap done!

At 3:15 pm this afternoon the patient left the opertaing room under its own power.

Pulled the motor last weekend without incident, and starting stripping it Saturday. No problems until removing the turbos when two studs broke off and severely slowed the process while I replaced studs and tapped holes. After that she went together no problem and I dropped it back in today.

Actually pulling the motor and dropping it back in was very easy; I have done cars that were much worse. Never expected swapping parts to take an entire day though. Thanks to everyone who lent advice or just moral support. 425 more miles to go before I can stand on it...

Good to see a 7 back on the road.

I'm about to pull my engine so that I can get my turbos out. They're such a B*tch when the engine's in the car

I agree...

I think if I had to yank the turbos again (which I will ) I'd just pull the whole damn motor.

4-5 hours? I spent about 12! It took that long to degrease parts and replace a bunch of the turbo studs that broke
