What boost level are you running? I would think those mods support 14psi w/o a problem.

I'd be thinking about handling mods if I were pushing 300HP...

Anyway
- Highflow CAT or Midpipe?
- Oil Cooler?

sorry not many ideas today...

If you're not sure, then that's definitely the next thing to figure out. Don't you have any boost gauge? Aren't you able to view the MAP sensor using the PFC Commander?

I believe the PFC has a boost setting, and if you're just pushing up a couple psi you can enter that w/o much difficulty. But you'll need to be sure your tuning is set up for it. Who tuned your car?

291rwhp with those mods and at 10psi, seems a little much? Or is it just me, especially with the stock midpipe? Either way, next mod should be midpipe and boost controller.

after the turbo spools, at WOT, whatever number the needle is pointing to at its peak is the boost your running. definately get an MBC next.

sounds like all you need is a good tuning, and possibly a mid pipe w/w/o hi-flo.

If your boost doesn't go higher than 10psi, that means two good things:
1) your turbo control system is probably working fine.
2) you aren't overboosting for your tuning.

I suggest you take your setup to a shop that can do this (search in a regional forum to find one) and explain that you want to get some more power out of your setup. For a few hours of labor, they will dyno or road test the car, evaluate how much they can reasonably push up your boost, and reprogram (tune) your PFC for that level of boost. A good tune will help your performance and drivability a whole lot. 14-15psi of boost, if your fuel system supports it, won't cook your turbos too badly and will definitely put you further back in your seat. With custom tuning, it will very nice. Find a good FD&PFC tuner - if they make a major mistake they can blow your motor, and if they're only so-so the resulting power and drivability won't be as good.

Keep in mind, this tuning will need redone when you add a couple of power mods or change your fuel setup. So if you're consideiring a high flow cat, it would be good to add that beforehand.

Might I suggest the HKS Twin Power upgrade, a fmic (if you want), ast/radiator, a new y-pipe, and/or greddy compression elbow. You could get a new flywheel/clutch too.

291 rwhp is good deal of power for now, I would change the fluids in the diff and tranny to Mobil 1 synth. Do a complete flush of your brake fluid, upgrade the pads and tires. Change the fuel filter, get the car aligned, flush your coolant. Get a good base line of all the systems before looking for more power.

Steve,

You need to learn a lot about these cars before you start modifying them. Start by reading the stickies at the top of the 3rd gen section. If you don't learn about your car, you WILL damage it.

ooohh, stay away from the dealership at all costs. I am not kidding,...if you are curious and want to hear some horror stories search the forum. Your best bet is to find a garage that has a good reputation with rotaries.

Actually, funny you say that...I didnt become a new FD owner with any knowledge...Actually it was quite the opposite. I owned an FC for about a year and a half, but I got bored. I decided to start looking into upgrading to an FD. I spend many many many MONTHS of research, so I was well prepared when buying my car. This is something you seemed to neglect to do...I actually usually only ask questions on the forum regarding diagnosing a problem I get stuck on...Not the type of question where your asking "what should i get next yo?"
