Missing Front engine hoist bracket.....
I was planning on pulling the engine toaday and I just noticed I am missing the front engine hoist bracket, that should be right behind the alternator. Any ideas on how to oull it out? If I get a new bracket to instalL it looks like I will have to remove half the stuff on the block just to bolt it in.

Actually, there's one on Ebay right now...
You can just screw a bolt through the engine chain into the front iron housing that the stock hanger attaches to. That's the typical way we pull FC engines.

I too am trying to pull my engine without a front hook, but on my FD. Can anyone suggest what I can attach the front to? I'm not really sure where Dale suggested is... I'm just doing the oil pan seal so i guess level loading isn't 100% necessary, but more even distribution than 1 hook would be nice!

Look, I only asked because I'm doing the pan, not a full removal so I've no need to remove ancillaries. If I was doing a full removal, I would've pulled one off (e.g.: PS pump) and stuck a bolt in one of the holes.
And there's no shame in asking for others advice - particularly when they're more experienced with these particular cars. That's the idea of a forum.
I don’t see why you need to make this personal?

This is not personal? Sounds like you're having a crack at my professional ability. That's personal – and uncalled for. I never pretended to be a mechanic. You just felt like having a crack.
And I "brought it back up on the 26th"? I brought it up for the first time on the 26th. This statement doesn't make sense.
I’m not the one being a tool - I'm the one humbly asking for other's advice. And I’m certainly not the one making personal, derogatory remarks at people they don’t know a thing about.
There’s my $0.02.

Lol. There's some quote about people arguing on forums being "like people in the special Olympics because even if they win they're still retarded".
Not strictly true - but still a laugh!
