Mid Pipe back firing

I know that there is the possibility of flames coming out of your exhaust with a mid pipe; my question is how bad is it? I don't really care to have flames and I definitely don't want Mr. police officer knowing that I have modified the emissions on my car. Is there anything that can be done to help this problem?

Its pretty bad. One day I was driving my car and this cop was behind me. I didn't see him and I accelerated, my car backfired and I was scared to death...except it wasn't a back fire...I shot a flame so big that it completely engulfed the police car. Thank God the officer got out just before it exploded.

Im alot more careful these days.

Hahahaha!!!!!! I'd like to see that flame. Any proof! j/k. I think the cops are the worst thing about the flames. Maybe it might burn the lower bumper skirt.

What ecu do you have? What I've noticed with mine is when it backfires it usually wont flame. Most peoples flames are about the size of their muffler, now mine on the hand.................. click link

Here's another video, there's a big flame at 10 seconds and another at 1:00 and a few small ones inbetween. We woke up my friends gf to record this so the camera isn't steady.

Has anyone ever been pulled over for shooting flames out their muffler?
