mid & down pipes
I'm looking into purchasing both, i know I'm not going to install both right now, just the downpipe, but does it make a huge difference in which brand?

would that suffice? Seems like a pretty good deal.

haha I know...hence why I said that i'm just installing the downpipe for now. I'll wait til i upgrade the computer to get the midpipe rolling. just wondering if brand makes a huge difference and if ebay is a decent way to go for that. i mean 2 new for 100+ shipping or i can buy 2 used for about 130....

i am also always pretty hesitant to buy car parts on ebay, however i have heard of people having good experiences with the tsudo downpipes, however i would also like to know if anyone has purchased this and what kid of results they had

So long as its made of good material, your only problem may be fitment. But if the DP is designed for our cars, I'd assume they didn't just bend a metal pipe from a fire truck and claim "DOWNPIPE!"
There's not much to "Fail" or go wrong as you'd suspect with some mod like a BC/ECU, etc...

so all in all, ebay is the better way to go to get a mid-pipe and downpipe for 100 bucks plus the shipping...which i think is like 42. when I'd be paying 140 for used ones anyways...

before you go and buy them, get some feedback from someone who has already done so to see what kind of fitment issues there may be, just so you arent throwing money away.

With the Ebay downpipes you get pot luck when it comes to fitment. Their quality control isn't the best - you may have one that fits and works great, but you may have one that doesn't line up well with the rest of the exhaust, needs some grinding for the bolt heads to clear, etc. If you go with a name-brand downpipe you're guaranteed good fitment.
Might also be worth buying a used one. I picked up a used Bonez (from RX7.com) downpipe off Ebay a while back for $30 - no kidding. It was a little dirty and rusty, but I plan on getting it JetHot coated, so that doesn't matter.
