Miata thermoswitch for late FD

OK, I got the Miata thermoswitch (N-3500-18-840) for my '93. It doesn't fit - duh! the car has a reman engine - and I think the water pump housing, etc., was changed sometime during the '94 production year. I don't know what year my reman or water pump housing was made. Anyone know if a later Miata thermoswitch will fit or not?
