Metering oil pump torque specs

Does anyone know how tight the bolts that hold the MOP lines to the distribution block need to be? I'm replacing the water pump housing insanity, and I simply HAD to take those lines off. I have the new copper gasket, but need to know how tight the hollow bolts need to be. The Manual conveniently has no method for dissasembly for this.

Why the lines were too short to place over the lower water pump housing radiator hose mount is a matter for international courts to resolve, as I regard this a crime against my humanity to move those things all over hell and back and simply pull them in frustration!

You were actually able to get a torque wrench in there? I just snugged them down with a small 1/4" drive ratchet.

No problem. I actually read the manual wrong and thought it was 70 FOOT pounds.
Needless to say, I'd to go get new bolts.

Yeah, that's what I actually did. But I'm familiar with 70 inch pounds (bizzare, but true!) and that's pretty close to whereI was. Sure wish the manual had not lied top me and told me I could move those lines around the lower Rad hose mount. WTF was THAT all about?

All went back together last night, and other than the usual air bubble silliness, things seem to be ok. Yeah, sure!!

70 foot pounds on those little bolts? More like new OMP, y'know?

thanks again, though!!

Please tell me you're kidding? You didn't actually try and tighten them to 70 ftlbs?
