If I recall correctly I don't think that its metal. I think that picture is of a member's car who had their interior pieces painted then clear coated. Maybe someone else knows exactly whos car that is. You can try doing a search.

That's not metal guys! The first time I saw Dragon's car, I though that it was metal because of the super duper good painting job he did on it. Just some paint with a clear coat.

That's not Dragon's car, that's potatobbq's car:

He pulled the panels and had them painted by a shop:

Call Pettit. Cam did this to a car a couple of years ago. It's a 2 part system and it was something like "spray aluminum paint" or something. It is tough to do properly.

If you read the link I posted above, the color that was used is actually "Gunmetal Grey".

Show me in this thread where I said that car was Dragon's car.

Maybe I should have worded my post like this:

That's not metal guys! That's just a super duper good paint job.

Dragon had a similar interior paint job done on his car. When I first saw Dragon's car, I though that it was metal because of the super duper good painting job he did on it. Just some paint with a clear coat.

Well, if someone posts a picture of a car and then I reply "Yea, that looks great. The first time I saw Bob's car, I was floored".

Now, I didn't say that the car in the picture was Bob's car, but it sure seems like it now doesn't it?

I was just making sure the owner of the car gets the props he deserves. And also posting more information about exactly what was done to the vehicle in the picture in case someone is trying to duplicate the look.

Yep, it is Gunmetal grey, mine is the same color (well parts of it, I still need to finish it). Bill B had a good point though if someone did want a metal interior. Cam had one of his Banzai's done with that stuff and it looks incredible. It comes out as almost a bronze color. It would look nice on a car with bronze rims. I was just there, I should've snapped a picture of it. Ggrr

Did mine with a couple cans of Tamiya model spray paint. There's a thread in the 3rd gen archives by BlackR1 about it.

I didn't bother doing the door panel.

The '02 Spirit-R has a matte gray finish that's very similar...
