Just a bit more info on rebuilding an engine.

Hey i tried searching a bit, but didnt really see to much about it. But i was wondering, what exactly does go when u blow your engine?? And would it probably be worth it to buy a rx-7 with a blown engine or close to it and just rebuild or just find one with lower miles or one that just been rebuilding. thx

apex seals/Corner Seals crack or break due to detonation, usually scraping the rotor housing and possibly the intermediate/end housing. Then you'll need to replace the blown seal, and housing(s).

If not done yourself, a rebuilt motor(from a respectable rx-7 tuning shop) could run you...

...I don't know...I don't take my car to any of those shops. Anyone who has chime in...
