Brandon,
I just read with deep sadness your first post and the ones that have followed. I can tell you from personal experience, I lost my father when I was 12, have no fear, your dad will be with you for the rest of your life. The things my dad taught me by the time I was 12 are still with me today and get stronger every year. I am now 45. As will the things your father has taught you. To me the lesson to be learned after something like this is that life can be short and you have to take the time to enjoy it and enjoy the people in your life. And don't be afraid to let them know how much you love them. Your father sounds just like such a person. And the world is a sadder place without him. Perhaps the best way to honor your fathers memory is to grow to be the person your father would have wished you to become.

Ok, now this makes me very angry. VERY ANGRY!
Just about EVERY other automotive forum I go to has a thread on this topic...
For example....
Club 3si:
http://www.3si.org/portal/forums/sho...hreadid=109423
300ZX Club:
http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread....&threadid=4977
Here's the part that makes me mad:
http://www.supraforums.com/showthrea...threadid=81719
Notice the difference? The 3000GT guys have NOTHING BUT SYMPATHY. The 300ZX guys have NOTHING BUT SYMPATHY. What do the Supra guys do? No real interest in expressing condolences or learning a lesson from the whole ordeal. Seems as if they'd rather spew out a bunch of crap and BS about something they know absolutely nothing about.
Go read the thread and find out. I've often seen remarks on these forums about how "Supra guys are the biggest ******** of them all". I guess that's true.

WOW. i heard about this from www.focaljet.com. i own and drive a ford focus. no rx7 by any means...but with this tragic event i had to say some words.
brandon. i dont know of anything i can say to help you. but i am here for you. i could not imagine that happening to me. i have had friends and family pass...but not my father. that would be insane. he is with God now and helped to keep you here...that is AWESOME. your father loves you and that is obvious.
hope you are on the road to recovery...and though you may never get over this tragic event...your father is there to help you in your every decision.

I hope that one day when the "supra guys" lose someone that is close to them they will look back on the nasty things that they said and feel really bad. You have to be one insensitive jerk to say something like what they said. I wish death on nobody...but I hope that they all get what they deserve.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Life, in all of its forms is far, far too short. "Out, Out brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow..." Josh

Dude, it sounds like you did everything you could to try to help your dad. It also sounds like he was a real stand-up guy. The world needs more people like him.
Reading this entire thread brought tears to my eyes. Whatever differences I have with my dad would be cast aside in a millisecond in this situation. My heart goes out to you.

not trying to necessarily defend supra owners, but 95% of people on supraforums don't even own supras. (me included), and are just ricer wannabes. most of the horrible remarks you saw there are that of honda owners.
oh and condolences.

Just a hello,
....From myself (and everyone) over at the Turbo Buick boards. I heard of this from a post there, and had to say something... but there's really nothing I can say. This is truly one of the saddest things I have ever heard. I bid my respects to you and your father. He is still with you, always. Believe it. My condolences for such a tragic occurance. My prayers go out to you for strength.

Brandon,
I also came here from the Turbo Buick boards.
You have my deepest sympathy. I lost my mother earlier this year, so I know how hard this is right now. It may be really tough, but know that your father loves you and will always be with you. Support from family and friends will help you get through this. You are very brave to post this up, hopefully it will cause people to think.
I wish you and your family the best. -Jay

My condolences
Brandon,
I'm from LS1.com, although I actually say this thread linked at Stangnet. I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies, I can't imagine what you and your family must be going through. May your father rest in peace, it sounds like he was an amazing man. Sorry again for your loss.

Brandon,
This is the saddest story I have ever heard. I'm gonna think twice the next time I get mad over some stupid things.
Your strength is really an inspiration and my thoughts are with you.

I am very sorry for your lost.
Be strong and take good care of yourself and your family.
I lost both of my parents in a car accident also when I was 8.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about them.
The pain never go away. But you'll always have the good memories.
He will always be there with you to help you through the hard times.
So make him proud and know that he is looking down on you from above.
