McMaster Silicone Lines

Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with the silicone lines from McMaster. Item number 5054K54 or catalog page 121, is the 6mm line for $0.76/ft. Cheaper then I've seen it other places. Before I try it, I just wanted to see if anyone has used it.

If not, where do you suggest getting hose from?

Wow that's fast! Thanks!

What do you do for the 3.5MM hose on the smaller fittings? Do you just use the 4MM?

I just used their 4mm and 6mm hoses. They are very snug. The check valves from Dale were a little smaller and loose with the 4mm, but I zip-tied them.

I can't remember the exact firmness I ordered from McMaster before, but the stuff that they offer is pretty much like food service tubing. It's nothing like the Baker, or Hose Techniques stuff that we use for vacuum lines.

Yeah I used mcmaster silicone hose for a while and it sucked. A few hoses split, I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I have been using hightempsilicone without any problems for a while now.

i would think that the hightemp hose would be a better route to go..anything's better then the stock **** they use..all you have to do is touch it and there goes the neighborhood..

just saw the boostcontroller.com reference and wanted to add that I had an awesome experience with them while trying to track down unusual samco hoses.
