Maybe a blown apex???

So Im cruising down the road, and start boosting in third gear, everything seems fine, turn the corner, and start to boost in second. However now, the car bucks me, and barely pulls at all. I look at all my gauges, and see Im running extremely lean. I pull over, and notice that my idle is bouncy, and only at about 500-300rpm's. Also, the turbos are ever so slightly spooled. Usually at idle my AVCR shows them at negative 500 something. im not sure of the measurement. Now they are sitting at 50 or 60. Also, there is smoke (white) that smells like fuel coming from the inside of the engine bay, near the back. And my exhaust is white as well. I checked compression, and got what seemed like pretty good numbers all around. Both rotors spike three times, and all were damn near, if not more, then 100psi. Any ideas???

First guess would be the map sensor vaccum line.

You say you turned a corner and boosted... were you low on fuel? Coulda starved the motor of fuel and hurt it.

Coolant seal would make sense because of the smoke right? Like, it smells kinda sweet, so that would make some sense. Also, would the MAP sensor line make it do smoke? And with the corner, I was indeed low on fuel, but around the corner I didnt have any gas in it, not until the exit of the corner at least.

question: is there a week that has gone by in the entire history of this forum where another "is she blown?" thread is not posted?

think about it.....

followed by the inevitable 'check the MAP sensor' quip

in 5 years, nothing will change

life is exceedingly predictable, is it not?

When you take a turn all the fuel is forced into the extremities of the tank, and away from the fuel pickup. If you boost after comming out of a corner and hve less than a 1/4 tank of gas, you'll starve the motor of fuel and possibly detonate. Sounds like exactly what happened.

To improved fd, I searched and found nothing as specific as what I am asking here. I had a detailed description, and asked specific questions, so lay off.

Wouldnt that have blown an apex seal if I had starved the motor? And I took the corner to the right, sloshing the gas left, and the car didnt kick back when I came around the corner. Isnt the gas pickup on the drivers side?
