map sensor harness
Ok, before I start I will acknowledge that Banzai racing makes the harness that I am looking for. I am in no way trying to kill there sales with this thread. Also, out of respect for a great company, I will not link to their product.
I have contacted them about the harness and they DO NOT sell the harness without the 3 bar map sensor, which I do not need. So this is my reason for starting this thread.
Anyway, as you all know the worst thing anyone wants to do is hack up the harness or make a new wire run. Less wires and less connections means less points to go wrong.
What I would like to do is replicate the harness made by banzai where you can plug a GM 3 bar map sensor into the stock harness and go about your business.
Hope someone can assist.
MODs, if this thread is in violation of any rules that I may not know about, Please accept my apologies and delete if necessary.
Thanks

Our harness and sensor kit is only $105.00. You buy the kit and put the extra sensor on the shelf or sell it.
I will post the link http://banzai-racing.com/store/3bar_...r_adapter.html

They use to sell the harness by it self. I know this because i bought my harness by it self several months ago. If you are not interested in hacking up your harness, perhaps source the clips and make your own harness.

I added the harness without sensor option at the link above, in the pull down menu. The main reason we had eliminated that as an option was that people were buying sensors that had different tab configurations and complaining that the GM end was not fitting. They were also unknowingly buying 1 and 2 bar sensors. Our harness and sensor kit ensures you get proper fitment and the correct sensor.

Thanks for adding this, but at this point, I am more intrigued about making it up on my own. To be honest.. Im not going to pay 65 for that, but that's just me.
Also, I would suggest that you put the part numbers for the map sensors so that people dont buy the wrong one for your harness.
So my search continues

I suspect it will be difficult to find the plug to connect to the OEM Mazda MAP sensor connector, (might be made by Amp/Tyco, Denso, Sumitomo, or Yazaki) and you may have trouble buying it in small quantities if you are able to locate it, much less finding it in stock and available to ship quickly. I understand the desire to do things yourself but $65 would have saved you hours and hours of research and legwork.
That said, 'titty fight' is a pretty funny phrase.

The connector for the GM MAP sensor should be dead simple to find...everybody uses that sensor, and I believe GM sells harness pigtails.
This connector appears to be *close* to what you'd need to plug into the harness...

It appears to be a Sumitomo connector: http://www.sws.co.jp/en/product/connector/wp_ts.html
