all of the stuff is the same, ECU, Injectors, Ignition, etc, the RHD takes different routes for things, but i bet you could use the RHD harness to repair the LHD one

I don’t have either harness, I have a shell lol I was about to purchase it but I’m talking about the harness that goes from the firewall around the engine bay to the other side of the firewall

Most of the bits and pieces will be there, but you're getting into a BIG grey area. I don't know if anyone has ever done that swap so you'd be having to do a lot of digging and research to make sure everything works.

Also I don't think it would be that hard to find a good LHD harness. I'm sure guys parting out cars can hook you up on one then you wouldn't have any questions on it. I don't think one would cost that much either - that part isn't really in high demand.

The problem is the location of things between RHD and LHD. The dash plugs and firewall mounted stuff are all going to be on the opposite side while the front end stuff will be in the same places. Maybe you could strip it down and swap things around but that seems like a big task. And like Dale said its a grey area, there's no telling what small (or big) differences there could be that im not thinking of.

oh if you have nothing, i think you're stuck with the USA one. some stuff is in the same place, and some stuff is mirror image, so the routing is different.

That price seems unreasonably high to me. This is a part that really doesn't get replaced often or at all, I can't see demand for front harnesses being that high. I've seen FD shells go to the crusher with that harness still on there.

May want to make a WTB ad in the classifieds and PM people that are parting out cars in the classifieds. Shipping may be a bit because it is bulky and heavy, but $1000 for the harness seems crazy.

I want to say I ran into a car I was working on last year that had a rhd emissions harness. It seemed to work fine but routing away from the engine to the fire wall it was all convoluted and longer than normal

They are starting to get in demand from janky people over lowering their cars and rubbing through the harness and melting everything

Sorry I misread, no I've never heard of using the pink harness from a rhd, it would have greatly different lengths for the wiring

Knowing the variety of front harnesses that are incompatible between the various years on RHDs, you have SFA chance a LHD car will work with one - without major surgery. Need to remember, one of the ECU plugs comes off that harness before you get into the S6 v S7 and 8 issues.

Front harness....that's a hefty harness to need. Like AE Racer said, some of the stuff is going to be weird. The ABS is on the opposite side, among others. Will it fit, yes. Will everything plug into it...not one bit without a lot of work. I recommend buying a used USDM/CDM one
