M2 vs RB dual tip?

Any reason to get one over the other? I want to look as stock as possible, and also the quietest of the two.

i dont think theres much of a diff between the 2. the M2 might flow a little bit better because the piping is one peice instead of 2, but the diff probably wont be significant.

oh and if you order from m2, itll more than likely be on back order for a few months.

too bad RB doesnt make a painted version any more. painted meaning it comes with black canister/piping, and the tips were polished. it looks like its completely stock.

there was another thread on this subject actually, and if you look somewhere you will note that I said that I have seen both of them up close and that the RB exhuast is a lot higher quality than the M2. The M2 has poor welds, and poor fitment. The muffler is practically touching the gas tank, and the construction looks like it is very cheap. As far as performance goes, the M2 is very quiet, however I cannot say anything about flow because when you get on it, it sounds stock. The RB is a lot higher quality. The welds are nicer and the muffler just looks like it is better made. it is two piece as someone mentioned and is very quiet as well, but when you get on the throttle, it has a nice purr to it. I would personally get the RB over the M2, it is cheaper and higher quality. Hope this helps

I agree with you on the welds and slight fitment issues, but the M2 sounds NOTHING like stock when you get on it. The pitch changes very distinctively when the second turbo comes online. Guys at the track always ask me about my exhaust and have described it as a turbine or a growl; they love it. It is still not so loud to draw attention unless you are way up in the revs.

I already had a downpipe on the car and when installing the M2 I gained 1.5 pounds of boost with spikes to 15 lbs. It flows.

I have a RB 2-tip after bonez DP & MP ... Get loud when it should, and is quiet -- sort of -- the rest of the time

I'd do the same again.

Anyone want to trade a RB or M2 dual for a PFS catback. With my midpipe in it's just a little too loud for my liking.

Thumbs up

The RB dual is stock-like yet aggressive. Louder, lower, and more resonant than stock, without being overpowering.

Get the RB, it's so sweet-looking, very well made, and there is a group buy going on right now. Jason of the Rx7 Store has organized this group buy.

RB Fully polished if you can find one. I just installed a mp to go along with a dp and RB dual tip. Sounds very deep and mellow at idle and even up to 3500k. Step on the gas and the beast awakes hehe !! Very deep aggressive tone. Def. for sound and looks RB all the way.
