One word of caution concerning the use of spherical rod ends in a street vehicle. The pillow ball joints (rear lower control arms, for example) on the RX-7 are protected from grit and debris by rubber dust seals. A spherical rod end has no such protection, and eventually will "ingest" dust and dirt and cause excessive wear and eventual failure. This is one good reason why a spherical rod end suspension is not desirable for street use, because the rod ends will require periodic replacement.
That said, the M2 Performance toe links are an exceptionally good replacement for the toe links, which do have some play, even when new. I have M2 Performance toe links myself, as well as their trailing arms, but the trailing arms were chosen only for additional wheel clearance, not because they provide any performance improvement over the function of the stock trailing arm with the upgraded bushing.

Then we can compare notes. I'll wager that there is definitely room for 10.5" wheels, maybe even 11's with the M2 trailing arms.
