m2 large/pettit 3 intercooler: Is this normal??
I'm finishing the install on my Pettit cool charge 3 interecooler. It sits much closer to the hood than the stock intercooler and as a result the hood seems to get abnormally hot.
Does your hood burn your hand to the touch??
I have a mazdaspeed carbon fiber hood to install as well but Im afraid the hood will get too hot.

After you shut the car down, the IC is gonna heatsoak for sure. Mine doesn't get hot enough to burn my hand, but it's pretty toasty.
The vented hood will only help this though. It'll give the heat a way to escape from the engine bay.
