AR M2 Intake...what about pipes?

Hello

Just purchased a M2 carbon fiber intake and wonder if there is some polished intake piping available? I don't want the oem ribbed rubber b.s. linked up to it.

Everything else in the engine bay is all polished up nice and pretty, so any advice on where to buy some good quality, polished intake pipes that fit the M2 is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The Bomz polished intake pipes work fine but you might have to cut them a bit shorter.

Not sure if/where you can buy them though...they used to be a dime a dozen on eBay.

The RX7Store carries piping:

As theorie mentioned, you can also find them on eBay. Unless you do some modification, you likely will not have much luck with the short bend for the primary turbo. I opted for a silicone 90 degrees bend for that:

M2 actually made polished hard intake pipes that were meant to work with the box, but they're almost impossible to find now. I had a set but sold them when I got rid of my twins.

The M2 pipes were cast and polished (like the GReddy elbow). They also had raised "M2" stamped on each one.

Can't find a pic of both M2 pipes, but the upper pipe is Bomz, the lower pipe is M2 :

Yeah, the bottom right angle primary turbo pipe with the "M2" looks exactly like mine (although you can't really see the M2 when it's installed in the car). The top secondary pipe is a little different than mine- mine is an "air pump friendly" pipe that also has a little notch in the top side for my Cusco strut bar. I just like the fact that I have an original M2 CFI with M2 hardpipes, an M2 large racing intercooler and also an M2 rechiped ECU. I really think that M2 had their act together back in the day.

It looks like the M2 intake. You can normally find them in the for sale section. They come in polished aluminum or carbon fiber. You just missed an aluminum version but here is a carbon fiber.

Back in the day when I had an old school M2 intake (the polished aluminum one) I bought some ebay hard pipes for like ten bucks. The top pipe fit & the bottom didn't lol. I still rocked it since the bottom one is kinda hard to see.

A few years later during a rebuild my mechanic called me "confessing" that he had lost my lower intake pipe He was quite happy and upset at the same time when I told him "that's because I never had one". Apparently he had torn shop apart looking for the damn thing lol..

Poor business management and product development stalled and got pretty spotty. I bought some brake lines from them when they had started their tail spin and the first ones weren't even the correct shape for the brackets and brake fittings. Although they had been "tested"...... They also took FOREVER to do anything towards the end and were at the higher end of the market price wise. I have the M2 medium and their CF intake, and it works great.

I was lucky to find myself a M2 CF intake and a M2 Large SMIC

I just get the eBay intake pipe, use the upper piping and use the stock lower rubber pipe.

Somehow related question: where could I get the silicone couplers for aluminum intake piping and greddy smic piping? Just bought greddy elbow and cold side smic pipes without couplers or clamps.. checked on samco hoses and greddy but didn't find just the couplers specifically thanks

Ps I guess I could get cheap ones from autoparts store but rather have greddy or samco

Thanks mahjik. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Funny thing is when I typed ' mahjik ' the first time on my thunderbolt , it auto corrected to ' manhole ' oops good thing I caught that.
