hey guys, so basically my tranny let me go and ive been doing research all over internet and cant seem to find anywhere that would rebuild my tranny so i was wondering if anyone would have good places that you know, my car is pushing 500-550 rwhp so i was thinking of other ways to go to, its a 93 and 5 speed

I bought a rebuilt (5-speed) tranny from pettit racing and it works perfectly. My 2nd and 5th gears were gone in the original. Just have to send them yours as a core and they will send you one that has been rebuilt.

Just buy a JDM tranny which comes with the shorter 5th gear. You can usually find them for $200-$500 from local JDM importers.

Agreed, low mile jspec trans is the way to go. I wouldn't bother with a series 6 trans. Source a series 7 or 8, much better internals over the series 6.

If you can't find one locally, I have both series 7 and series 8 in inventory now.

Whats different on the s7 and s8? I didn't know there was a difference.
