ok, now I am planning to get an ECU, but I am concerned that I only have stage 1 mod done on my rx7. Is the M2 ECU conpatible with all stages 1,2 and 3? or they program the ECU depending on what stage the car has been modified up to?

M2 has different stages of their ECU. If your car is in what M2 considers Stage 1, and you have a M2 Stage 3 ECU, then it will just run a little richer. It's not a problem.

pettit offered 2 chips, both same maps but one had 'unlimited' boost. kyle krutlick had dynoed at 360 rwhp and 14 psi with it. brad barber had done the same with a similar chip, iirc. both with stock turbos.

maps are rich, and some get a used apexi-safc to dial them in with wide band dyno runs.

14psi is pushing it. In cold weather it means BOOM.

M2 ecu adds too much gas in some cars. Plus I still got the 3k stumble from time to time.
The Power FC took care of that too.

You spend more, but get more....
Exactly my problem at the moment. But I have quite a restrictive exhaust and I have already removed the restrictor plate. Another thing could be bad spark - I'm installing new plug wires this weekend and see if it helps. Next are some nice catback and then later on some HKS TP.

I had great luck with the M2 stage 3 ECU, but just decided to upgrade to PFC for some additional HP goodies.

Will be selling the M2 ECU at for sale section for $395 shipped.

the guys making 350 rwhp on the Pettit are all running WFO....midpipe, big IC, hard pipe intake, ported engine, everything you can possibly do to cram more air through the engine....I'm also upgrading by IC piping and y pipe because the M2 piping is crap
