Man. I ordered my dual tip from m2 over a month ago. I am still waiting to recieve it! They said it was on back order. Then they said it was having troubles passing customs(due to 9-11). It's coming from Austraila. It's going on 1.5 months now! Anyone else waiting?????

M2 performance makes great products but their main problem is having all their parts in stock. they will keep telling you to wait one more week and it will be there but it never comes. You pretty much have to get lucky and call at the right time when they get their parts in.

I had the same problem. They took so long to send mine that I had to reinstall my stock exhaust, since I sold my existing exhaust in the expactation I would recieve the M2 Dual tip in a week.

It was well worth the 5 week wait though. It's a great exhaust.
They tend to be very optomistic with their ship dates so you just need to be patient and wait it out.

IMHO...it's the best exhaust for the money. I put one on about three months ago. Much to my surprise, it wasn't very loud. A bit louder than stock with a really nice bass note. But after running for a month, the volume level increased a noticeably. Still not a rice sound though…

I have been waiting it out! Going on 2 months now! I dont wont to **** them off calling every week(they havent charged my credit card) but DAMN! I have my boost controller, intake and I am waiting to get this cat-back to install the rest of my exhaust with the upgraded ecu. Just a little frustrated.

Thumbs down I wouldn't wait. Just get the Racing Beat dual tip.

I waited for over a month with them telling me the exhaust would come next week. Finally I just ordered the Racing Beat dual tip from Jason and it came almost immediately.

The RB is a great exhaust too. Looks great and it's not loud at all. Deffinitely more bass and when I gun it the car makes a beautiful noise now. I can't imagine that there is much difference with the flow between the two exhausts because the RB is pretty much just a straight through pipe. I think it's just quieter than some because it has more sound insulation.

Garrett, didn't you read JoeD's comment on RB and M2 exhaust. They are very comparable. M2 is more polished but the sound is about the same. M2 will take forever to ship it to you so RB is the way to go.

I did read his comment, that is why I posted and wanted a further explanation of why JoeD said they were "about the same thing"

sorry to sound redundant but I wanted specifics that his first post did not offer and what your post took more care of

thank you for the informative post djantlive, now on to the specifics

let me rephrase my question

what are the sound differences or why are they "about" the same?

is one louder or just so similar my question is stupid

thanks in advance

I've actually seen both exhausts up close and I'd have to say that they only look the same but the construction is a lot different. They are both very quiet exhausts...however, the M2 one doesn't fit as well. The piping is more straight but the problem is that it rubs very closely with the gas tank, and the build quality of the M2 one seems like it is pretty low. The racing beat one fits better but has more bends in the cat-back. Also the racing beat one seems like it is more well made. I don't know how to explain it but if you just saw both of these exhausts side by side then you would know what I mean. If i were to choose between the two, I would definitely go for the racing beat

Australia?

Hmm, wonder if M2's exaust is made by Remus? But the question is: Are they both chambered or is the M2 strait through.

I agree with 1FooknTite FD...I saw the M2 dual tip up close and the welds are not the most aesthetically neat...in fact the welds are a bit on the messy side...I'm sure they're solid and don't leak, but the quality (at least aesthetically) is not quite up to the RB dual tip...

So I'd go with the RB dualie for Jason Baugh of the Rx7 Store as well...

In fact I think he's got a group buy going on it for $400, so if you want in, go visit the Rx7 Store forum!

Thanks 1FooknTiteFD, that was what I wanted, it looks like the Racing Beat is the best way to go

The Latest RB CBs are straight through, the older RS*R versions were not, but the previous ones were

I have the latest version (in the now discontinued "Painted" style) and will vouch that it is a very well made unit with smooth bends, perfect fit, and beautiful welds. It is fairley quiet low tone at idle and normal speed but barks out good & loud at WOT
