Question lower 99' front lip

I have had it on my car for a couple of years and it has lost its dark black color. Can anyone tell me how to get that dark black back and keep it....I don't know maybe just have it painted at a body shope. thanks

you can have it painted, just use high quality paint. such as glasurit. its a urethane based paint and is very very prone to chipping. if you want the stock lip look you can paint it a flat or matte black finish.
good luck with your lip.

Yup - paint would do just fine. I don't think you'd have to take it to a body shop to get it painted though - just use some spray paint

If you don't want to go the route of painting it, You can go to your local auto parts store and pick up Mothers " back to black'' stuff does wonders on trim pieces and such

back to black and similar products don't last very long, especially when exposed to the elements. Pick up some black truck bed liner spray in a can. Did mine a few years ago and still looks good. it also does a good job at filling in any nicks and scratches.

I wouldnt recommend painting it, the first time you scrape something the paint will crack and flake off. Every couple of years I end up getting a new 99 spec lip

or you can do what I do to all of my exterior plastics. Clear coat them! I am serious as to its wonders! No chipping no nothing. It absorbs into the plastic and that is it! Once coat and you are good to go! Ask me how I know?! 3+ years on my '79 RX-7's exterior rubber pieces, and the plastic on my old FD. Never had an issue again with faded plastics.
