install apex's turbo timer

i need help puting in a apex turbo time pleaes exuazes me if i speell worng are if i know nothing about fd becaues i juest got my car a couple of weeks ago and im still larning any help would be greatly apresheated thanks!

Spep two: Remove Timer and place in wood chipper

Sell that thing on ebay and buy something useful.

get any, they all work the same..

some people would rather sit in the car for a minute then turn it off.

yea i acually sit in the car.. then turn it off lol and i have a turbo timer i dont even use... i mean hell i only use it to keep the fans on an extra 5 mins while im out the car or something

If you have the stock twins, a TT is a waste of money. Our turbo's are water cooled. Just take it easy on the throttle for a couple of minutes after a hard run and before you turn off the car.

Get the FD specific harness, you won't have to cut any wires and it makes it plug and play. Even if you don't use the TT part and since you already have it, the voltage readout will be quite handy for electrical health. It's small (takes up far less room than a voltage meter) if you live where it's cold you can use it to warm the car up, it also has AFR and some other feature (can't recall right now) If you decide to sell it let me know.

Definetly get the harness. Its not worth cutting into your stock wiring harness.


Lots of people will tell you that the TT is not only useless, but possibly harmful to your car. I guess the argument is that letting the car idle after driving it hard only heat soaks everything in the engine bay. Personally, I just dont boost when Im a couple of minutes away from my house, and I always pop the hood for a bit. I only use my TT for voltmeter, digital tach, and as a makeshift fan timer (works really well for that).

A turno timer is a pure waste of money that is sold due to a fake idea of fear placed into some peoples minds.

I actually don't use my HKS timer to cool the turbos but rather to keep my fans running an extra 10 minutes after the motor is shut off.

turbo timer is for the lazy. I love it!

although my hks is shot and i have to sit in my car to wait anywayz.. but when it used to work, i get people trippin out chasing after me telling me my car's still running.... :P

get harness... not recommend cutting stock wires when you don't have to

This is exactly what I was talkin about. Much cheaper than an actual fan timer, and works just as well.

+1 on this, I use mine the same way, plus used as a pre warmup timer.

This is right on IMO. I had the Apexi when I first got my car and never needed it. I don't boost for 2 minutes before shutting down and pop the hood a little before I stop, to take in more air.

My Boost controller has a turbo timer built onto it; I still don't use it.

I am set up on stock twins.
