Low Idle. *searched*

Hey All,

I'm having a problem with my 3rd gen's idle.
The car drives fine and it makes great power. But, sometimes when going from stop to reverse the idle drops really low and wants to stall. When I rev the engine the idle returns to normal. Any ideas what my problem could be? I have good compression just incase you wanted to know.

Thanks,

Matthew Walsh

It could be your map sensor. Try checking that.

Check your clutch switch, the one mounted high on the clutch pedal mechanism.

Would the switch need to be replaced or just adjusted?

Better off replacing it. Tweeking can be fun at times. Most of the times though, a new one is always better.
