Anyone purchased this loop carpet? Looks better than the standard ACC fuzzy stuff!

Alternatively

Or this one without the extra padding. Still loop carpet.

Not seeing anything in the links, but...

My experience with loop pile carpet in an antique car is...OK. You just need to be careful of snags as they can ‘run’ and depending on quality and traffic, it can get fuzzy and show wear too.
Not sure about it in the FD.

I’ll try loading the links again (I had posted from my phone. Maybe that’s why🤷‍♂️)
the carpet looked closer to stock.
The non-loop ACC cutpile that was in my car created fuzz ***** every time I git in and out of the car. It was some cheap that is now in the trash where it belongs.
I was excited to see something different than the standard ebay/ACC carpet.

You can order loop carpet molded for the rx7 from ACC, but you have to do a custom order. If you go this route, order from any of the other vendors that sell their product since they get a better price than ACC will give you.

I just ordered new carpet from ACC. It was affordable, fast, and fit.

I have been thinking about ordering the ACC carpet but have not seen any recent reviews. Let us know how it turns out.

Did you DIY the installation or have the shop do it? Which of the carpet type (e.g., cut pile, loop, etc.) and carpet backing options did you get with yours? This is something I would definitely DIY on mine, so curious on how much trimming & cutting is necessary to get a good OEM fit with the ACC carpets.

The shop is doing the installation. Apparently moisture/humidity got into my carpets (which had seen better days to start with) and marinated to become a hot mess. The new carpet hasn't been installed yet, they'll do that after everything else is done and they're putting the car back together. My car is stripped down at the moment.

Here is a (relatively) current interior status with the old carpet still inside. I say relatively current because we also made some functional changes to the spare tire area.

I just went with the basic black cut pile without any extras. The shop has used ACC a bunch in the past (the owner used it for her FB's carpet) and has always had good results with fitment.
