Hi while looking up oil pans for my rx7 I came across the one that himni-racing sells look at the bracing in the oil pan doubt there will be any engine flex.

Are you planning to run a 12a front cover on your 13B-REW?

No I was just trying to show how strong the oil pan looks as it has internal cross bracing.
Thanks

Well this is the 3rd Gen. Section. So guessing most of us have a FD...with a cross-member and front cover that would prevent using that pan.
Your welcome.

I know that, what Im trying to show is look how strong the oil pan is with the inner bracing going corner to corner if someone were to make a oil pan with that bracing that would fit it would be a good solution for high performance engine that will get flex under boost.
Thanks

OR you could run a Banzai oil pan brace on the stock pan. It is made of steel, which is stronger than aluminum

Ideally this would provide more strength than the aluminum pan you linked.

Pineapple/ground zero made a thick cast aluminum oil pan that looked sturdy as well.

With that being said, anyone that is seriously concerned with engine flex typically uses the tried and true methods of dowel pinning or guru style studs. I don't think this becomes a factor until you get over 500hp though. In Howard Colemans "case for the rotary" he describes the ideal reliable 500hp engine without mentioning need for bracing.

Ricardo, do yourself a favor and start doing a bit more research before you start hacking on your FD.

Hi dguy I never said anything about hacking on anything just simply showing the strength of the oil pan.
Thanks
