What is the common location of the boost pills? I see a couple by the throttle body... One is bulky plastic, and the other is a smaller sized metal piece. Are those them?

No. Take out the large air box turbo hoses (you don't have to but it's easy). 2nd turbo vac line. Just feel the line for a hard metal bean? in the line. Replace line with a new bean? (I used Holly Carb jets) and new line.

 

I did the home depot boost controller. Replaces the line with the "pills". Puts in a new line with a needle valve that you can adjust. Costs less than $10, and easy to install. Do a search. It should be easy to find.

More like 7 lbs with out the pills, the actuator spring is a 7 lbs spring.
