Lightweight rotors

I've seen a few shops offer these. They look like a standard rotor that has had some of the metal machined away to lighten them. Will these "spool up" faster than regular rotors? I wonder how much torque you'll lose especially if you have a lightweight flywheel?

the lightweight rotors are made by Racing beat and they machine away metal between the rotor gear and the apex. Almost a pound of material is removed from the rotor so that they will reach optimum revs quicker.

This info is curtesy(sp?) of super streets July 04' issue that is a "Rotary Issue" Have some nice info and modding tips in the mag as well as a few badass 7s and 8s in there.

Pineapple racing also has info about it on thier site. Sure racing beat has 2k dollor rotors but i would think that there are cheaper way to go about it. There was a set on ebay for about 400bucks, wish i would of jumped on that when i had the chance.
