Question Search much????

OP,

Rather than just starting a thread when a new thought crosses your mind, how about searching first.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...ss-rhd-920949/

Search "JDM Harness" and you will see tons of threads on the difference in harnesses.

it says it will work but it doesnt specify what needs to be done. well it does, but he doesnt go into anymore detail than that. where would i find out what to trim and how to repin the plug? the guy in the thread that just tells the op to search.

"easy as pie. Just have to trim down the blue connector for the X-14 connector, and repin it accordingly. THere are a bunch of threads just search for JDM harness."

i dont exactly know what i'm searching for and typing in random phrases hasnt gotten me very far.

and btw this is for an auto engine harness with a manual transmission. its the way my car was when i bought it and i want to put it back. i would use the harness that came with it but that isnt an option.

When you do search "JDM harness", you do find several threads that go into great detail about the differences in the harnesses. They also show what connectors have to be modified. Seems like a lot of work to me, but you might be really comfortable modifying harnesses...your call.

That extra detail you posted would have been helpful in your original post. The more detail you provide will often get you better help.

Being that you are in Japan, I found two harnesses for sale on Yahoo Auctions. One was Y5,000 and the other Y8,000
http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp/s...cat=2084199232

I would advise you to befriend someone with a Japanese spouse and ask him/her to buy the harness for you. Or go on ZY and post what you are looking for, or that you need help on yahoo auctions. There are several members there that regularly buy parts on yahoo auctions and I am confident that they will help you.

Good luck.
