get new ones ASAP. My engine died due to leaky injectors causing a lean condition. One ping is all it takes...

There is nothing wrong with rebuilding them. A rebuild co. will replace all the seals inside, give you all new O-rings and check its performance to see if it is working properly. I had mine rebuilt and they got them to flow with in 2% of each other. If you can give them a week to get it and ship it back it is worth it. Like $35.00 per injector. Bargain.

question: does your car reek of gas or any other fumes on startup?

It always reeked real bad of gas when I would it turn it off after parking
in my garage. I guess the enclosed space in my garage made the smell
much more obvious.

Don Marvel had my UIM off to replace my pulsation dampner, which was
leaking pretty bad. After he replaced the PD he repressurized the
system and the primaries started squirting too.

Major Bummer....oh well. It could have been a lot worse if it hadn't
been caught.

Those bastard little pieces cost me a ton of dough... they were like $300 each and the labor wasn't cheap either. No one told me they could be reconditioned! I suppose my shop wouldn't have recommended that anyway.

send them out to RC Engineering. They will take care of it and match and map them as well. Much cheaper than buying new ones.
You do have to get new Orings from mazda, though.
