the day has finally come

well gentleman, the FD is finally back on the front burner. after a long winter of countless other projects and lots of saving i can now assemble my FD and start driving it. now i just have to watch those dvds and peruse some threads to brush up on my rotary knowledge, i went back to the dark side and built a few v8s and a 6. so the 13b only has like 2 pistons or something right? kidding! im not that bad, but i did get that from one of the kids at autozone because its listed as a 2 cyl in their computer. oh well, here she is all washed up and ready for a new motor. its amazing how dirty it got under a cover being used as a shelf.

now i just have to dig the motor parts out of storage and hope they didnt rust over. hopefully i will be ordering my seals and what not from pineapple very soon and ill get going on reassembly. ill be posting pics as there is progress, hope everyone elses projects are going well, i have to seriously play catch up and see who is around and what new people are in the ring now as well. its good to be back.

haha i know ive been slacking. like i just said above ive kinda been on hold again unfortunatly. the car has been sitting in the moist garage and the whole interior developed a thin mold layer to add insult to injury so now i have to clean that out and throw a damprid bucket in there to cut down on the moisture. i remembered recently that my trans is all messed up too so i may be cracking that open and rebuilding it like i did to the 91 miata 5 speed. my whole thing is that i want to have all the parts in my garage so i can get her running within a week so there are no problems with the seals on the freshly rebuilt motor. oh well, atleast i know this car is worth waiting for. i saw a red FD out in brooklyn last week and it really made me jealous and want to get mine done

haha, yeah you may think the British accent sounds like nails on a chalk board but American girls can't get enough of it. The feeling is mutual for your New Yorker accent buddy, love the ginger hair by the way..

Anyway, loving the thread, will probably have to do mine soon, your soo lucky to have that garage!!
Hope you get the FD up and running soon

you know charlie, you are right.....something about a limey that drives those girls up the wall, maybe you can ship some of your ladies over this way and see if they fancy the yank accent equally thrilling....heres to hoping haha.

thanks for the well wishes, mate. i hope you arent in need of a rebuild any time soon. but if you are and find yourself stateside then you would be more than welcome in my shop.....just stay away from my sister.....only kidding, dont have a sister haha.
