Last minute pre-buy inspection help please?
Hi everyone!
I'm headed out in a few hours to inspect my first car in my search for a great FD. I was hoping to get some last minute tips from you all before I leave.
I've printed out the inspection checklist located at http://rx7.voodoobox.net/infofaq/bguide3g/bguide3g.html to bring with me. Does this cover pretty much everything? Any extra things I should do?
It's a '94 MB touring w/stock spoiler, no mods except for boost and fuel/air gauge and a custom straight-pipe cat-back. I've been hitting the guy pretty hard with questions (out of sheer paranoia ) and so far everything sounds good. He had it inspected and tested at a local dealer for someone else, it's the one that had 57,000 miles and the very good compression (mid to upper 8's). I talked to the dealership myself and they told me that everything was in great shape.
So far the owner has been incredibly informative and helpful and we will go over everything on the car in detail tomorrow. I feel very comfortable dealing with this person so far, but I just want to make sure I hit every point on my inspection.
Anything extra tips you can give me within the next few hours would be great! Thanks guys, and I can't wait to join you all as a fellow TT rotorhead
