avcr - what bar map sensor?

I notice that my avcr comes with a boost sensor. What bar is my map sensor and will it enable me to run more than the 1.2 kg/cm2 recognized by the stock sensor?

Not sure what the rating is the one that you have, but there is a GM 3 Bar sensor that most people end up using to go higher than the stock 2 bar sensor.

For your own reference, my stock MAP sensor tops out at 1.15 kg/cm^2.

Note that the AVC-R sensor won't replace the stock sensor in a normal installation. The AVC-R will use its sensor and the ECU will use a different one.

If you have the PowerFC, you might be able to adapt the sensor from the AVC-R for use by the PowerFC, but it is almost certainly cheaper to use the GM 3-bar sensor, and there are settings available on the internet to make it work. But you will need to adjust the ranges and settings with the Datalogit.

What is it, exactly, that you are thinking of dong?

I want to run 20psi. I already have the avc-r, PFC, and datalogit. I have read that the stock sensor reads to 1.2kg/cm2. I wanted to avoid using outside (GM) products, wire splicing etc. I was looking at getting an apex 3 bar sensor when I realized that I had an apex sensor that came with my avc-r. I see now, though that the electronics are different.

Pm Rotorbrain he has that setup and he will know . To wire in the gm 3 bar with a weather pack connector is a 5 -10 minute job The weather pack connector cost $4 instead of $28 that the dealer wants . I know you do not want that map sensor but someone will want that tidbit .I think the sensor you have is a 3 bar but I would not bet to much money on it ,I am not positive .
