knocking sound from the rear

I have knocking sound comming out of the rear side of my FD. It does the "bump bump bump" from the rear, whenever I lunch my car...And also when I turn hard, it makes that sound as well.

Is it my dif mount? what else could it be?

Sounds like your rear flux capacitor module dislocated itself.

simple enough, it could be a plastic box in your trunk. its behind the plastic peice of the rear side of the trunk.

everytime i braked or accelerated it made that sound

its a possibilty, so check it out =p

other possibility is that your flux capacitor may be loose. the front flux isnt known to get loose, but the rear flux is known to.

yeah, I think its more likley to be the polyhydro diff assebley mechanism if there is three knocks, they are known for it.

what is flux capacitor and its function anyway? Where is it located? Visible from the bottom of the car?

With a damaged flux capacitor, I'm afraid you will no longer be able to attempt time travel in your FD. Repair it immediately.

efini,

Hit up the local Mazda dealer, ask them for a replacement flux capacitor.. 1.21 gigwatt version.. Tell them you're getting knocking with it. They know exactly what the part is.

Most likely if its a clunk your rear end could be going out, a dif mount be dead, bushings ect,, a million and one things..

These guys don't have a clue whats wrong: You need to run higher octane gas so your pistons are not pre-detonating. That's whats causing the knocking.

Don't overlook the muffler... when my rubber donuts wore out, the mufler would move enough to clunk a few times over bumps or other jostles.. fresh ones tightened it up...

Try running the car on bannanas and other rotting veggies, seems to work better than gas. Should help with the malfunctioning flux capacitor.

Not necessarily. If efini can somehow get his car to 88mph (perhaps by pushing it with a locomotive) it should be enough to "rolling-start" the damaged flux capacitor and therefore allow for time travel.

lol omg i have no idea what you guys are talking about....time travel? banana???

anyways, my car runs fine. It acc good and it hits over 160mph as usual. It just makes the bump sound from the rear when i engage the clutch roughly.

Go google "flux capacitor". I wouldn't worry a lot about, maybe let the clutch out smoother. The car doesn't like to be beaten on.
