Just want to introduce myself
Hello all, I have been a lover of the FD's for quite a long time and i have finally found the right one for me. Its a white 1995 touring model with a black leather interior. Im still reading up on the workings of the FD's as i am not familiar with them, i downloaded and printed the FSM and it has already proven itself to be extreamly useful.
I have a few parts in my living room that need to be installed but i am waiting for a few more to get here befor i begin any of that. The parts that are waiting to go in are, fluidyne radiator, alum AST, 180 degree thermostat, 185 degree fan switch, and a downpipe coated in header wrap. im hoping all this lowers my underhood temps drastically!
Now for my question befor i show you all some pics of my new baby, im planning on installing all this with some new gauges (coolant temp, boost/vacume gauge and an oil PSI gauge) and im having problems figuring out the best way to install the oil psi gauge. Im thinking about using an oil filter sandwich adapter, however im not sure on where i can locate one that is not cheap ebay crap and will match my autometer z series sending unit(electric model not mechanical). any help or segustions would be greatly appreciated.
also on a small side note, i just installed a very high end stereo and had some problems with the head unit, how did you all overcome the fact that there is not mounting brackets behind the stock pieces. Pics of your installs would be great if you have them. I will post pics of mine once i take some.
-once again thanks for your time and i look forward to utalizing this forums vast knowledge and resources.
here are a few pics of my husbands Z32
yes i will be making my engine bay pretty too, probably with some powdercoating and polishing!

This is what you'll need for Oil Temp and Pressure. It says RX8, but it will work on the FD. I'm getting ready to order one myself.

Welcome!! Nice to see that the ladies are down too! There was a guy here on the forum (don't remember his sig right now. I'm sure some of the guys here know. If not, I can get it later) selling an aluminum replacement oil filter mount with the fitting for an oil temp gauge. I bought one and it's very nice, expecially after I polished it!
As far as the head unit is concerned, there should'nt have been a problem installing it. There should be a small bracket that came with the head unit that bolts to the back for support. This is because there is just an opening in the car and not a sleeve. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say (yes, I know there is a sleeve that comes with the head unit. This is not what I'm talking about).

I was only kidding about your pic...I just didn't want to disappoint ImprovedFD!
That IS a nice looking rear end. Way nicer than mine! My VR spoiler is faded.
