How hard was it to change it? Do you notice much difference on the street in terms of brake dust, stopping power, fade resistence, noise?

How did you end up with an extra set? I haven't seen Brembo rear rotors for sale before...

I had the exact same thing on my red VR before I sold it.

Was a noticeable difference. My friend who drives another FD was following me and I had to make an immidate stop at an intersection and he was totally surprised how it bit down hard.

Overall I was very happy with it. Functional and has a costmetic appeal.

lemme find some old pics from my VR that the pictures.

TTT,

What pads are you going to use? Are the brakes plated?

I noticed a Screw missing on the rotor. Do the holes not line up or have you just not put it in?

THere is just one screw per front rotor. Its probably meant to just keep the rotor in place when you have the wheel removed, is my guess - as taht once the wheel is bolted down, the rotor is not going anywhere hehe. The service manual specifies to replace it everytime you remove the rotor and can be ordered from teh dealer. Can't remember how much I paid, but it was not much.

$450 for all 4? You can get a complete set for under $300, can't you? These are the stock-size replacements, right?

They look pretty, though.

i just had a question about them. are they installed backwards. in the pic that looks like the front left wheel, which makes me believe that the rotor is on the wrong side. i always though that they were made to pin the other way so that it blew the dust out, instead of pulling it in the way you have it. i am not tryin gto be a smart ***, i just would be interesting in any info you have to offer, thanks, scott

they will fit two screws, you just have to line it up correctly. But you only need one of them as someone stated earlier.

I've tried the rotors both the other way and this way, for one reason or another I just seem ti like it better this way. I've seen many cars use both directions. Don't think it matters all too much.

What would you take for just the rears?

There's a guy on e-bay that's selling 10 pairs of front rotors at $140 for each pair.

Thanks

GOD DAMMIT.

I barely put the rotors on and just realized that I can have them sent out to by cryo treated for 100 bucks for all of them DAMMIT!!.

I have a set of Hawk brake pads that need to be installed and I guess I will cryo those too if I can.

Well, off they go in a couple days if I can find my damn wheel lock to take of my wheels. Lost it after installing the rotors.

Cross drilled and slotted rotors only have one purpose: to vent heat as fast as possible.

Unless you changed the brake pads at the same time as you replaced the rotors, you should feel absolutely no difference in the feel. Maybe if your old rotors had glazed over, but in that case, you'd feel that difference with any rotor.

Not flaming you, just pointing it out. Don't buy expensive rotors expecting improved braking, because you won't get it. Buy it for the extra cooling it offers at the track.
