Because this is the easiest way to pull the engine. Yanking it with the tranny is much more difficult. As you now have to worry about clearing everything with the tranny as well. I pull about 1 a month so I have it down pretty good. Just my opinion though. Everyone has their way to do things. Whatever works for you. ( It's just MORE work for you )

At first I was like , Damn, This dude is serious with a in roof chain hoist. Then I started looking around and saw the legs of the lift and started laughing at the good attempt. It is a good bit of humor and relativly true. As you usually feel superhuman after working on and dominating these cars.
