Just installed intake, compressor surge?

I just installed my intake and it's great. Great throttle response, great sound, and all.

The only problems I encountered were that there is this squeeking noise, and when i let go of the throttle, it sounds like compressor surge. Could this be because I didn't have a clamp on the hose that is connected to my bov? Thanks (once again) *sigh*

Yeah, could be... have you tested your BOV? Take it off, apply vacuum and see if you can blow through it. (you're supposed to be able to). If this isn't working right for whatever reason (hosing problems included), you'll get some surge. Eventually it'll kill your turbos. Quite expensive for cheaping out on a clamp.

do you still have your airpump? could be that... mine makes a sound that's not quite the moo that everyoine describes but more like a squeaky moo (<-squeaky moo??? never thought I'd use that in a sentance )plus... do you hear the fwoosh of the BOV at all when you let off the gas under boost?

Yeah it does sound like a squeaky moo. And the bov doesn't fwoosh much at all...it's pure compressor surge.

I didn't do anything except shortened the hose it's attatched to. I also put the clamp on and it was doing the same thing. Does anybody know how i can get rid of the surge? I know it can damage the turbo's, that's why i'm driving around in vacuum

IMO, if it sounds like a pissed off squirrel, it's a BOV problem... if it's just a whine or whistle at constant drone, it's just the air pump venting or the secondary turbo venting or something like that.
