Exclamation Just bought an FD!!

It was for sale in the classifieds. It's a red 1993 Touring with a turbo timer, konis, and a full exhaust. It's going to be a bit of a project. The turbos are shot (but I've got a set of stock ones), the front fasia is trashed, and the car has a few dings. Other than that it's in pretty good shape. As a matter of fact, I flew to TX Thursday night to buy it and I'm 1/3 of the way back to WA.

Things wrong with it:
turbos leak oil like a **** (.25 quarts every 250 miles)
front fasia is trashed
a few dings
doesn't like to be boosted in 5th gear
I hate the exhaust...it's louder than a bastard
The wheels suck
the tires suck
the guages are on the passenger side of the car

Pics can be seen atthe previous owner's website

LOL, when the guy posted the pictures of the car a few weeks back in the lounge(maybe in the 3rd gen section) people ripped on him for the nasty *** wheels.

Congrats on the car, hope ya got a good deal on her.

Not too bad...$9500. Only 1500 more miles to home. I hope it doesn't break.

what kinda exhaust does it have one it? Just to loud for your taste or some cheap ricer exhaust? PM me if you are willing to sell if it is a decent exhaust system.

Apexi GT -Spec Exhaust
Pettit 3' inch Downpipe
Custom 3' inch Midpipe

I've had loud cars before....this thing is ******* insane. I'm going to put a cat on it and see how much it quiets down.

Does it have an upgraded ECU?

No, it does not. Fortunatley, the turbos are trashed so it doesn't make more than 10 psi (lol). When I get back to WA, I have a lot of work cut out for me. I need to:

Replace the turbos
replace the spark plugs
clean the IC because it's been sucking up oil from the turbos
put a cat on this thing
Put some sort of AF controller on it
Move the batter back under the hood, or get a gel-cell battery

After seeing his other cars, you might have your work cut out for you.
