You'll love it. I'm just finishing my JDM build here. If you have any question or issues you run into hit me up. There are a few things you may notice different inside the engine bay if you haven't messed with a JDM car before.

Yeah. I've built 2 STI's, an Evo VIII, S13 converted 240sx, and finally my JDM '92 FD3S. What are your plans for the car?

My build is a very delicate balance of street/drift and 450-500 RWHP LOL!

Just dont come into the build expecting to be as bulletproof with knocking etc. as the SR. Know that the 13B is totally different and learn it.

Im under the impression that its going to be different. I hope its not as prone to problems as I read about them. My SR was literally bulletproof with the setup I was running. Ill do all the reliability mods to the FD prior to touching anything else on it.

Well I got 90,000 KM from my motor before I blew the front iron. It'll all just depend on how it was beaten before.

Not sure about US import laws but in canada, there are twice as many JDM 7s as CDM. It just has to be an approved car that is at least 15 years old to get a JDM car here. And most cars are approved.

I believe in the US it is 25 years before you can legally import cars here. I have a JDM R2 model in the states, but it was difficult to get it titles to say the least.

Picked up some Work Rezax for the FD today, 18x9.5 18x10.5. Got them for $300 bucks locally. Just need to be painted.

Ive had about a dozen of them. The secret is, dont drive them without getting the registered first. Its no different with any other car. If its legal is legal (paperwork-wise)

Those are ******* ugly man.. how about this, I'll give you 500 bucks + ship for them then you can go get a decent set of rims.

Honestly though.. HOW did you find that deal.

I know man! Super duper deal. Almost as good as the deal I got on the FD.

It amazes me how people just give stuff away. Anyways, they are super clean. I got all of the centercaps, and stuff with them. As well as the OEM work lug wrench. Crazy deal.

if they are ugly, why would you want them? The color is whack, but Ill paint them. And I wont keep them forever, just till I can find some Advan SA3R's in a killer offset.

But I wont ever sell them to you, just for your comments

I found them on facebook

Im compiling a list of mods to make this thing track worthy. Im gonna be drifting it this season and am more concerned with keeping her cool than anything. This is what Ive come up with thus far as a mod list. Dont flame me, Ive been reading for a couple of hours. If you having anything relavent to add or critisize, def chime in. Im new to this triangular motor thing...As I said above, it has coilovers, bov, Border downpipe/full exhaust (no cats), HKS drop in filter, R-magic grounding kit. Im also going to do a compression check and full tuneup (oil and all fluids, spark plugs, etc.) prior to doing anything else.

modded/ducted stock airbox
oil cooler setup of some sort
big radiator
PowerFC and dyno tune
FMIC and all hard piping
(and perhaps some bigger secondary inj. if needed)

I also need some opinions on spark plugs. I see people running 2 or one plug, and 2 of the a different plug. Anything else I should look for prior to going crazy with this thing. Im looking for a reliable 300whp. Ive never had a rotary, but Im down to learn as much as possible. Im good at the car thing, just want to ensure that this thing is prepared to handle what Im gonna be throwing at it.

Suspension/LSD/chassis is simple to me compared to everything else. I know what needs to be done there.

Thanks

-Rich

Yeah you are right....but it beat typing out...

I got a 240sx after my evo burnt down...then swapped in a SR20DET, Vertex front bumper, fenders and origin rear quarterpanel, R32 Skyline seats and Digital AC......

So by silvia swap I mean the front end swap

not here in canada. lhd versions are 2 times as rare, and makes them almost 2times the price.
rhd fd3s in canada, $7-10k CDN, sub 100,xxx km's.
rhd fairlady 300zx z32 Z, $5-10k CDN
LHD fd3s in canada... 18k+?
LHD 300zx 15? super funny when you see these in canada, you go "OMG a lhd 300zx, SICK"..ratio of rhd to lhd 300zx being like 5:1 here. not actually but you get the idea.

you didnt say silvia swap. you said s13 swap, thats the chassis code. im not sure why you listed those other mods though, sounds just like another run of the mill 240sx to me.

anyways i actually kind of dig the wheels. its different. wish the lips were stepped though!
