ISIS 3 cell

anyone have any experience or opinions on this system?

im wanting to rewire the body harness and eliminate the things i don't need and not being the best at wiring this kit seems pretty "easy" to do also would make trouble shooting a lot easier.

I don't even know what it is. Is it a battery?

Uh, I wouldn't tackle that if you have zero experience wiring. It's just not wiring, it's load calculations, circuit diagrams that you'll have to make yourself, fuse calculations, voltage drop, gauge calculations, etc....

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you don't want to do it.

I haven't installed mine yet and it'll be a long time before I expect to ever have a running car. But for the most part the system should be fairly easy and the company is very good about answering questions and being supportive. For my setup (full street car) I'll end up with three powercells. I have the list of everything if you're interested but I won't guarantee it'll make sense since I made it understandable for myself.

Honestly, unless you're retarded like me and just really enjoy the idea of getting to wire up your car from scratch and include everything you want without splicing and all the other head aches, I wouldn't recommend it. The kits started as being for cars that had very limited harnesses, such as old cars or kit cars. There are people using it for show cars that had modern harnesses but you're going to be spending a few thousand when it's all said and done.

found this doing some searching, looks like it would be a pretty good setup.

I've installed several PDMs in cars. My issues with the ISIS unit is that it's really not configurable on the fly and you're STILL relying on crappy old relays and fuses.

Most of my experience is with MoTeC's PDM15 unit on purpose built race cars, however I've also worked with the SmartWire by RacePak. They're both good units, the support and software for the PDM is lightyears ahead however.
