Intercooler Upgrade "?"s

I'm at the point where my next upgrade will be an intercooler. Because of the leaner conditions it will cause, I had some questions about the fuel system.

Many people recommend first to purchase a new fuel pump (ie. supra TT), but wouldn't the injectors need upgrading first? I had the impression that the injectors would fade before the fuel pump would reach its limit. So, if I want to maintain a rich mixture, would I have to upgrade both? or is it standard protocol to just upgrade the fuel pump. I guess I don't see why just upgrade the fuel pump will help because it won't force the injectors to put out more.

Thanks for reading!

If you are going to a larger intercooler you really should upgrade you`r ECU and fuel pump.

I already have a Pettit ECU, so will the upgraded fuel pump, help me run richer then?

I guess I need someone to explain why having just the fuel pump upgrade alone will provide more fuel. I would think that the bottleneck would first be noticed in the injectors.

It`s simple. If you`r injectors don`t get more fuel to them they can`t run any richer no matter what duty cycle they are asked to run.
