I had the Greddy Dual Intake System it looked great. I'd say about any of them would work.

Yeah do that. If my car didn't come with one, it's what I would have done. Why pay $200+ for something you can easily make for $50, or Adam C's intake you can make for free!

Adam C, with a K&N Drop In.

I did this mod, noticed much more power and faster spool, and then to try and be cool I got the hks rs, and noticed a performance drop. One week later sold the hks and am now using the Adam C method (aka cheap bastard intake) again.

With an intake performance should always come before looks. I also like the idea behind the M2 however have never tried.

I have the M2 Carbon Fiber Intake
After extensive research I think it is one of the best intakes on the market and definetely suits my needs. Plus point (other than usual CAI benefits) are
- Cold air intake, scoops it from the front of the car
- Separate to IC air scoop
- Carbon fiber is temp resistant, hence reduces heat soak

i got the apexi intakes for 199 shipped to my door from ebay (brand new).

K&N intakes are expensive too. I looked for a bit but couldn't find anything less than 75 bucks.

or you could do a search of the more than 100 posts already about this topic

there are 2 good posts about selecting an intake in the Advanced Tech section. Check them out as there is good info in there.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Seems like I should say something

A modified stock airbox will give you better performance than the expensive cold air intakes, as you will have 2 sources for cold air. Buy my mod for $70, get a K&N, and you are set. You can even pass the smog tests for visual and emmissions. Info here:

I have the Apexi intakes, they may filter the best but still takes in hot air from the engine bay. IMO M2 box intake is the best or modding the stock intake box.

something very good

Apexi and KN filters offer the best filtration combined with flow, i found a website a while back that had a whole test on it. Pretty neat stuff.

Do a K&N replacement and have a cold air intake like Adam C.

All those aftermarket intakes are simply a waste of money with stock twins and most single turbos at 15psi or less.

I have seen dyno results or cold air intake mod on a stock box and M2 intake and there is maybe 2HP difference, which could be a standard deviation.

FD's don't seem to have problems getting air since they love to lean out and grenade.

its kinda cool, but it looks like he blocked off the only cold air source along side the radiator so its sucking up hot air from behind the intercooler.

what filters are those? what is the diameter of the pipe? thanks.
